Roasted Sweet Onion Rings

Use a sweet onion variety such as EverMild or Vidalia for this meat accompaniment and salad enhancer.

1 large sweet onion

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons white wine Worcestershire sauce

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

2. Peel and cut onion crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick slices; separate into rings.

3. In a bowl toss onion rings with olive oil. Place rings in single layer on a larger baking sheet.

4. Bake in 375 degree F. oven for 15 minutes; stir and bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until rings are soft and starting to brown. Remove from oven. Toss with white wine Worchestershire sauce. Serve warm with steaks, chops, or burgers. Or, serve chilled in green salads. Store, covered, in refrigerator.
